Green Key Logo

DEAR GUESTS!
Our accommodation received the environmental certificate GREEN KEY in 2022; industry’s leading standard of excellence in environmental responsibility and sustainable operation. With this certificate we honor and follow strict international criteria established by Foundation for environmental education (FEE). By receiving the Green Key certificate we became part of “Green Family,” globally recognized for promoting

SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES AND THE PROTECTION OF NATURAL RESOURCES.

We are aware that such handling is first and foremost valuable for the environment. We don’t need to do much to act more responsibly to the environment. We don’t have to say no to leisure and other things we enjoy to do. For the most part, those are simple and barely noticeable acts. But with a few simple precautions, we an collaboratively make this world a better place to live and leave it in equally good shape to our descendants.

We ask you to read and consider our “Environmental Sparks.” Namely, awareness of our guests is our duty in obtaining the environmental sign. We will be glad to see you put our propositions into action. As well we are happy to hear all of your further suggestions and comments. We will try to either implement them or forward them to competent institutions.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely,
ONE66 Team

TAP WATER IS SAFE TO DRINK!

There is not a lot of European capital cities that can pride itself with natural drinking water wihtout any previous processing.  Tap water is is free and plastic-free!

WE SEPARATE WASTE ACCORDINGLY

We always separate the waste to the designated bins. Never leave the waste in nature or flush it down the toilet. Prevent pollution of the environment and drinking water. In your room you will find two separate bins for packaging and bio waste. In your bathroom is a bin for mixed waste. All other waste (paper, glass, metal…) we collect at the reception. You may bring the waste down or leave it on your desk.

ALWAYS SEPARATE THE WASTE TO ITS DESIGNATED BINS.

REDUCE PLASTIC USE AND REDUCE PAPER CONSUPTION

Plastic presents a great threat to the environment and humanity. Slovenia in 2020 produced 489 kg of municipal waste per resident  on average. Yearly individual use of single-use plastic bags is 100 to 300 pieces. Globally we produce more and more plastic, out of which 6,4 million tons lands in nature. Plastic particles intrude in human and animal bodies and gravely endanger our health.

AVOID USING SINGLE-USE PLATIC.

TURN OFF THE LIGHTS

We installed LED lighting to reduce electricity use.

REDUCE CARBON FOOTPRINT

Our accommodation is well-isolated and it has energy efficient windows. We always close the doors and windows behind us. We recommend airing the rooms in the morning and evening, closing the shutters in the warmer months and preventing heat to enter. By doing so, the rooms keep cool, fresh with no need for extra cooling by AC and furthermore reducing carbon footprint.

EXPIRIENCE THE RICH LOCAL NATURAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE

Natural and cultural heritage in Slovenia is extraordinary – visit, experience and taste it. Information on attractions, sights, gastronomy and habits are always available with our staff at reception.

EXPLORE THE ENVIRONMENT BY GREEN MOBILITY

Ljubljana is ideal for cycling, use of e-scooters and public transport. EVERY TRIP / VISIT THAT A GUEST MAKES BY BIKE, E-SCOOTER, PUBLIC TRANSPORT OR BY FOOT, INSTEAD OF A CAR, IS AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY ACT. Bicycle rental is free for all guests and operates on a first-come- first-serve basis. Information for bicycle and e-scooter rental or rental options is available at reception.

REDUCE DETERGENT USE

Hotels all around the world use a ton of detergents and millions of litres of water daily to wash single-used towels and linen.

WE CHANGE THE TOWELS AND LINEN IN THE ROOM AFTER EACH CHECK-OUT, EACH FOURTH DAY OF YOUR STAY OR WHEN SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED.
